The Next Big Thing In Science
Where big data and machine learning meet, an information revolution awaits, and there is no area where the potential for transformation is greater than in medicine. The growing ability of machines to learn and act intelligently will completely change our world. The soon-to-trillion sensor-based Internet of Things, powered by billions of smart systems, and powered by millions of applications, will drive new consumer and business behaviors we haven't seen before.
Internet connection problems will soon become a thing of the past, and the Internet of Things will connect home devices, wearable sensors and other technologies around the world. The big change in the next 10 years is that the Internet will finally disappear from the world of technological (and physical) infrastructure. The Internet of Everything is critical because the ability to intelligently extract and combine billions of data points is itself enabling new scientific breakthroughs, but it also raises important questions about the future of privacy and the very nature of humanity.
Along with wearables comes the Internet of Things: machines communicate with each other, and people connected to computers observe, analyze and act on the emerging explosion of big data. The optical devices through which we experience the world are changing, from virtual reality to the possibility of a full-fledged brain interface. Thanks to "space" computing, the digital and physical worlds will be integrated in a way that goes beyond the capabilities of virtual reality. Among other things, it will connect autonomous vehicles and drones to the Internet, and will also allow significant advances in the field of virtual reality and the Internet of things.
The principle is there, the technology works ... it remains to be seen whether it will be widely adopted. However, it will take many years to arrive at a wide range of use cases; we have built the world around silicon and we need to replace such mature and established technologies. They should also be new (i.e. not currently widely used), but are likely to have a major impact over the next three to five years.
The previous 20 technologies are specific to technological developments in the next 20 years; however, more can be discovered by looking into the future, although the certainty is clearly diminishing over time. Therefore, it makes sense to write an update highlighting today’s key emerging technologies that will be prevalent in 2022, 2025, and 2030 (separate article on technologies in 2040). In this article, I want to highlight 25 key technology trends that I believe will shape the 2020s.
We may not live on Mars or go to work in jetpacks, but there is no doubt that the next decade will bring many exciting technological advances. I think neurotechnology has the potential to be the next truly transformative thing we see in the next few decades. With advances in brain imaging technology and the results of major brain research projects in the United States and Europe, we may well be moving towards a much deeper understanding of the brain. We will learn to better use the full potential of the brain, preventing or repairing damage, disease or degeneration; we better understand disordered brains.
While we'll no doubt see more regulatory scrutiny of facial recognition use, the technology is here to stay. It's not easy, but human society has long demonstrated its resilience to change - I think, or perhaps hope, that civic and social innovation will help us through the current technological change. In my opinion, technology will be used as a way to empower people and demand effective government solutions.

The world is also waiting for self-driving cars, flying cars, advanced artificial intelligence and brain implants that will allow you to control your computing devices using only your thoughts. An artificial intelligence that can learn and function independently of human rulers sounds like science fiction. Life is much, much more complex than any technology that mankind has ever created.
However, it really just makes data science as a technology more accessible to the layperson. In many ways, when a technology like data science begins to humanize and resonate directly with people, it begins to solve business problems and improve business efficiency and effectiveness. Ultimately, this will allow business users to align their business operations with smart technologies, using the best of both worlds (human and machine). Transport will be transformed by the ability to use technology.
The technology will have a huge impact on most industries as it will change the speed and quantity of data transferred and the quality of connections by orders of magnitude. As virtual and augmented reality technology improves and the content available to users increases, the human experience with this technology will change forever. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are not new concepts, but they will revolutionize the world within 5 years.
Together they discovered a world beyond reality, the Internet or the Internet of Things; a new industry is emerging to experience the Internet. These and other new technologies have been identified by an international expert steering group.
So here are just some of my suggestions on which technologies - some new and improved versions that have gone mainstream today - will be an integral part of society in the future. So we may see some advancements in blockchain, but it will still be on the fringes of the technology, missing out on the revolution its fans have been waiting for. From the advent of artificial intelligence to the discovery of dark matter to the development of innovative solutions to climate change, great things are happening in the rapidly changing world of science. Today, the adoption of technologies such as artificial intelligence and data science is less than the value they bring, simply because they have a narrow target audience. Business users with no coding experience, again thanks to the user-friendly approach and no-coding of these technologies, which changes users’ perceptions of them and minimizes disgust for mass acceptance.
For history
